ICYMI: Here are the top five things that happened in the Big West last week….In Case You Missed It!

1. UCSB Men’s Soccer Upsets No. 14 Pacific For First Win Of 2017
The UC Santa Barbara men’s soccer team earned its first win of the season by handing No. 14 Pacific its first loss of the year with a 1-0 victory that the Gauchos dominated from start to finish on Friday night at Harder Stadium. Throughout the match, UCSB (1-4-2) controlled possession and held the Tigers (6-1) without a shot on goal all night while outshooting their nationally-ranked opponent 14-5. Full Story

2. UC Irvine Volleyball Off To Best Start In Program History

4. UCSB’s Hinkle Posts Stellar Performance At UC Riverside Invitational

Jenna Hinkle would claim the individual spotlight once again by throwing down a 19:59.8, a 35 second improvement from her performance on this course last year, to take second place overall and first among collegians. Her time on the Riverside course ranks only behind that of 5000-meter school record holder Amanda Babineaux, who ran 19:57.0 to win the conference meet on the Ag/Ops course over 7 years ago.   Full Story
