We tell our young ladies to control what you can control which is to: give maximum effort at all times and be a great teammate; belief and pride in what we're doing will take care of the rest.

"We have senior leaders who have helped to build a championship culture here at UC Davis. Although the Big West Conference season is on their minds, our challenge is to focus on right now.  Our goal is to make every drill, every practice, every day, as great as we can make it.  If we can focus on that, I think this team can be very special."

UC Irvine

…”We have a lot of depth this year with eight of our top nine players returning, including four out of five starters. In addition to the quality of our depth, we will rely on leadership from our upperclassmen as the newcomers learn our system and get used to the college game. We’re really excited about the chemistry with the group that we have and are looking forward to the start of the season.”

Starters Returning: 5
Letterwinners Returning: 9

From Head Coach Laura Beeman…”We’ll definitely be better than we were last season, we’re bringing back 12 kids. I don’t know at this point if our 12 kids are ready to compete with the top teams in the conference, but I do know that this team is working like they are there, and that’s exciting. I have not had to coach attitude or effort at all this season, and I love that. I think our guard play is going to be very, very good. We’re still going to be young in the post, but with the player development that we’re doing, and the attitude and the effort, I think that we can definitely knock on the door."
