(On expectations for the 2018 season) "I expect a unified and strong voice from the Big West Coaches and Administrators. This is the first time in history that Men’s Volleyball has had a home in a sanctioned, NCAA Division I Conference. I expect the ripples to be felt across the country as every federation and team reevaluates how they communicate and identify with fans, prospects and academia in this new era of Men’s Volleyball."

(On excitement of year one in Big West men's volleyball) "I think all eyes will be on the Big West Tournament. Knowing that the tournament will be in a fixed location for the next three years (Long Beach in 2018, Hawaii in 2019 and Irvine in 2020) allows us to build an experience and following throughout the coming seasons. And with all six teams making the play-off field, everyone (every fan) has a reason to go."
