Dawson Hits Milestone, Posts Two Double-Doubles In Wins

➜ Tavrion Dawson garnered his second Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award – and the fourth of his career – as he led CSUN to wins against UC Riverside and Cal Poly.
➜ The 6-8 forward averaged 20.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game as the Matadors toppled the Highlanders (66-57) and the Mustangs (72-54).
➜ Dawson posted the ninth and 10th double-doubles of his career in the two wins.
➜ He had 18 points and 11 rebounds against UCR to go along with two assists, one steal and one block. His 18th point of the night came on the completion of a traditional 3-point play, giving him 1,000 career points.
➜ Dawson notched 23 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block versus the Mustangs. It was his fifth 20-point effort of the year.
➜ He scored CSUN’s first seven points, and hit six of his first seven shots against Cal Poly, finishing the game 8-of-15 from the field.
➜ Dawson hit a career-best four treys versus UCR and was 6-for-11 (54.5%) from long range this week.
