Big West Non-Conference Success Continues
The Big West turned in a 7-2 record in week three of the 2018 men’s volleyball season, another impressive performance that raised the cumulative record of the six members to a staggering 32-4.

Two schools remain undefeated.  Long Beach State, the No. 1 team in the country according to the AVCA and VolleyMob, is 7-0 overall.  Hawai‘i is tied for third in the AVCA and fifth in VolleyMob, and is 6-0.  CSUN, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara have just one loss apiece.

Syftestad Named VolleyMob Player Of Week
UC San Diego senior Tanner Syftestad helped his team to a 2-1 record last week, averaging 5.20 kills, 1.90 digs and 1.00 blocks per set as he was named VolleyMob Player of the Week.  He hit .288 overall and UCSD is now 5-1, its best start since 1996 (6-0).
