CLAYTON ANDREWS, LONG BEACH STATE – PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Junior • LHP • Rohnert Park, Calif. • Cabrillo College

➜ Long Beach State junior Clayton Andrews set a conference record with a fourth consecutive selection for Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades.

➜ The left-hander threw LBSU’s first complete game of the season with a 1-0 shutout of Big West champion Cal State Fullerton.  He scattered six hits and struck out 11 – the fifth time this season he has tallied double-digit strikeouts.

➜ He continued to dominate Big West competition in shutting down a Titan offense that produced 19 runs in the other two games of the series.  Over his last five starts, Andrews is 4-0 with a minuscule 0.24 ERA, striking out 48 batters in 38.0 innings pitched.
