LoForte, Andrews Earn Final Baseball Weekly Honors Of 2018
Hank LoForte extended his hit streak to 16 games on .529 hitting while Clayton Andrews tossed his first career complete game shutout.

➜ Cal State Fullerton junior Hank LoForte collected his first career Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week honors after batting .500 in a series victory over rival Long Beach State.
➜ The second baseman had 10 hits in 19 at-bats (.529) to help the Titans to a 3-1 week overall. He had at least one hit in all four games.
➜ LoForte went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base to start the week in a 4-3 victory at USC.
➜ He helped the Titans take two out of three games against the Dirtbags. He stepped up in Saturday’s 10-9 win, finishing 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBI. He delivered a clutch, game-winning 3 RBI triple and scored a pair of runs.
➜ LoForte opened the series with a 2-for-5 performance, adding a triple and a pair of runs scored in a 9-3 triumph.
➜ LoForte has reached base in 39 consecutive games and owns a 16-game hit streak. He has at least one hit in 27 of his last 28 games.

➜ Long Beach State junior Clayton Andrews set a conference record with a fourth consecutive selection for Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades.
➜ The left-hander threw LBSU’s first complete game of the season with a 1-0 shutout of Big West champion Cal State Fullerton. He scattered six hits and struck out 11 – the fifth time this season he has tallied double-digit strikeouts.
➜ He continued to dominate Big West competition in shutting down a Titan offense that produced 19 runs in the other two games of the series. Over his last five starts, Andrews is 4-0 with a minuscule 0.24 ERA, striking out 48 batters in 38.0 innings pitched.
➜ In Big West play, Andrews leads all pitchers with 71 strikeouts and a 1.11 ERA. He has issued just five walks in 57.0 IP.
➜ Andrews notched his fifth Pitcher of the Week honor, representing the third-most in a single-season in the Big West record book. Only Long Beach State’s Jered Weaver (7, 2004) and Cal State Fullerton’s Kirk Saarloos (6, 2001) have more awards in one year.
